Henri Määttä started working as the technical project manager for ALMA in Helsinki

ALMA Consulting Oy opened a new office in Helsinki in early March 2018. Now the number of office staff has doubled, as project manager Henri Määttä joined the team in August, in addition to Business Manager Janne Lappi.

Janne and I make a great team: he’s responsible for business development and I’m in charge of customer projects, mostly on site. We’ve got a lot of new clients. We also want to support them locally in using our solutions, while also offering professional services that make our clients’ everyday lives easier, Määttä said.

Before joining ALMA, Määttä worked at Sweco, Efora and Outokumpu, for example. Born in Taivalkoski, Määttä studied automation engineering in Oulu. He has had different jobs in Vaasa, Tornio, Oulu and in Greater Helsinki. Määttä’s motto is: “I keep my promises!”

“At ALMA; people are serious about their work, but they do it with a smile on their lips”

At ALMA, Määttä was interested in a good software product with which he had been familiar already for a long time.

I’ve always liked working with ALMA’s software. It’s a clear, well-functioning, cost-efficient and reliable tool. Although there are many features in the software, it’s still easy to learn and to use, Määttä described.

After only a week of working here, Määttä has been impressed by the positive atmosphere and the attitude of getting things done.

Everyone working at ALMA clearly has a common goal. People here are serious about their work, but do it with a smile on their lips.

Are you already familiar with Australian Labradoodles?

Having played ice hockey on the teams Oulun Kärpät and Vaasa Sport as a junior, Määttä still plays hockey on amateur teams in the metropolitan area. Four months ago, Määttä and his partner welcomed a new addition to their family: an Australian Labradoodle puppy. This puppy is a real charmer: a cross between a Labrador Retriever and a poodle.

Our puppy is called Rölli. Now I know what being a dad feels like, as I’m responsible for the puppy’s well-being, Määttä chuckled.
