ALMA days will again be held in September

Our annual client days will be held again in early September in Kokkola. This year’s programme is also going to be interesting, in addition to case studies of ALMA’s solutions for various industries.

This year’s ALMA days will focus particularly on asset management and how its various components could be integrated into one. This event will also address the digitization of business operations.

“The ALMA days offer an interesting programme and information for representatives of different groups, regardless of their position within their organisation. Decision-makers will get an extensive overview of ALMA’s modern system and service solutions, as well as their potential regarding the digitization of the various aspects of asset management. In addition, specialists will also get the opportunity to have a closer look at our applications, and have discussions with our experts,” said Juha Nissilä, ALMA’s Managing Director.

Some of our guest speakers include:

Maintenance Manager Jari Mäkelä will talk about updating the ERP and asset management systems of Kotka Energy Ltd, where ALMA is used as the key system. The solution included energy production, district heating and electricity grids, industrial services, and the material handling and storage of the entire Group. The system also supports work invoicing.

Jussi Konkola from Pankaboard and Hannu Isomäki from Pöyry will talk about the automation update carried out at Pankaboard with the help of ALMA. Pankaboard has been using ALMA already since the 1990s, and this project also included ALMA’s new system solution.

Our special guest, the actress and interaction coach Sari Havas, in turn, will tell us how human behaviour and interaction impact successful projects, sales and customer service. However, she encourages us to be aware of our own strengths and even possible pitfalls in co-operation and communication with colleagues, suppliers and customers.

Information, networking, and fun at sea

The ALMA days will be held on Thursday, 06.09.2018, at the breezy seaside in Kokkola, Villa Elba. This year, after the seminar has finished, we will be showcasing Kokkola to our guests from a maritime perspective, on a cruise going past the town.

The cruise is scheduled between 17:00 and 20:00. We will take care of all cruise-related transfers, as well as the transfer back to Kokkola’s centre after the cruise.

On the morning of Friday, 07.09.2018, there will be an opportunity to participate in ALMA training events and workshops free of charge. The training will be between 9:00 and 11:45.

There will be two training groups. A training session that covers planning aspects as well as a training session covering ALMA’s basics/maintenance.
