ALMA Consulting Oy opened a new office in Helsinki in early March 2018. Now the number of office staff has doubled, as project manager Henri Määttä joined the team in August, in addition to Business Manager Janne Lappi.
Our annual client days will be held again in early September in Kokkola. This year’s programme is also going to be interesting, in addition to case studies of ALMA’s solutions for various industries.
The beginning of the year has been quite a whirlwind for ALMA, and as we are wishing everyone a good summer, it’s nice to have a little overview of all the things that have happened in spring and early summer. We’ve launched many great new projects and also grown our team. We’ve also had to carry moving boxes!
ALMA’s team of experts has grown again, as Timo Pyhäluoto started as a project engineer at ALMA’s recently established Raahe unit. He is a great addition particularly to the customer projects and support services team.
ALMA Consulting's software is part of a wider ERP reform of Kotkan Energia, which includes ALMA's maintenance system, inventory, purchasing and document management, mobile work control, and electronic logbook. ERP reform replaced the energy group's decades-old system. The supplier is also actively involved in the further development of software.

ALMA supplied the Classic ALMA to the company in 1994. That system has been used to keep the accuracy of electrical and automation maintenance data up to date. With Pankaboard’s automation system updating project that began in late 2017, the ALMA Classic was also replaced by the brand new ALMA NG solution. Regarding the implementation of the new project, data managed according to the databases has enabled to launch the planning process a lot more quickly.
For ALMA, the year 2017 was a time for strong business growth. And although our business turnover grew significantly, we were able to maintain good profitability. We obtained new significant clients not only in traditional fields of business, but also in fields such as property management. In 2018, we will focus more on mobile solutions and we will open sales office in Helsinki.
