6.10.2010 | KemFine invest in ALMA knowledge

Mr Tuomas Savolainen from KemFine Ltd took part in the ALMA Basics Course held at the beginning of October. Course was tailored to KemFine's needs and their own ALMA database was used during training.

Tuomas Savolainen's work in KemFine's automation and electrical department consists of both field work and engineering duties. He has studied at the Central Ostrobothnia University of Applied Sciences' Kokkola unit. KemFine-logoKemFine was a natural choice for Savolainen because he had been working there as a summer employee. Kemfine ensures that their workers are trained versatilely. Savolainen for example has taken part in training which deals with handling of hazardous materials and there are other courses coming up later.

Savolainen's coworkers use ALMA as a engineering database where for example all the PI- and wiring diagrams are stored. "I've been browsing ALMA before but I always wanted to use it more effectively. ALMA is a versatile software", Savolainen says and laughs: "No cons comes to mind".

Savolainen was pleased with the two-day basic course. "It's good to have enough time for questions. During two days one can assimilate ALMA thoroughly", says Ms Annika Kurvinen who organizes ALMA courses.
