Helsinki Water has been responsible for the water supply and sewerage of the Greater Helsinki area since 1876. Because the water supply is one of the necessities of the functioning society, the system can have no mistakes. That is why Helsinki Water uses ALMA.

Helsinki Water has been a satisfied ALMA customer since 2001. The system covers preplanning, engineering, project and document management and maintenance. With ALMA they prevent faults in engineering and make sure that the repairs are done in right time at the right place. ”ALMA works like a machine register with an access to other documents”, tells automation technician Mr. Mika Kuikka. ”We were successful in combining the maintenance with MetsoDNA DCS system. All the maintenance work and failure logs are filed in real time into the ALMA database”, continues Mr. Kuikka. In practice access to ALMA is realized over the MetsoDNA operating satiation screen. Maintenance machine register and its supporting documentation have been created into the ALMA system. Retrieved data by the MetsoDNA has been linked into ALMA so all the anticipatory repairs are based on real operating time data. Also MetsoDNA shift diary is linked to ALMA enabling all reporting of operational events and available from one source.
