Kemira Oyj Pori factory, specialized in municipal and industrial water treatment, trusts in ALMA. In autumn 2008, as Kemira Pigments Oy was renewed into Sachtleben Pigments Oy, the water treatment plant was separated as a stand-alone unit. ”At that time we made a decision to transfer all the productional and functional information into our own centalized database”, tells production manager Maija-Liisa Niinimäki.

At Kemira Oyj Pori factory, ALMA is used in planning electricity and instrumental circuits as well as being a source of information for the maintenance work. The system implementation was started by transferring the instrument and electric drawings into a new database. The project is estimated to be accomplished in January. ”We still buy the electricity and instrument maintenance service from Sachtleben Pigments Oy, where ALMA has been in use for many years. Our planning partner is also familiar with ALMA”, explains Niinimäki.

”We`ve got positive recommendations from several ALMA users, engouraging us to start using it. The co-operation with Alma Marketing Oy has been good. The project has gone forward as planned”, thanks Niinimäki.

Kemira Oyj Pori factory is part of Kemira Group Municipal & Industrial business area. The unit employs 15 persons and produces approximately 130 000 tons of different ferrosulfates and solid lotions.
