Nivalan Kaukolämpö (District heating company) has commissioned ALMA’s document handling program DocALMA.

The ALMA database of Nivalan Kaukolämpö includes document handling and power plant hierarchy. "The need to go through documents is rare, but when there is a need, documents must be available immediately. Then situation is usually critical", summarized the CEO of Nivalan Kaukolämpö Martti Poikkimäki. By using advanced search functions, documents can be found quickly, either from power plant hierarchy or document register.

ALMA provides all employees of Nivalan Kaukolämpö access to documents 24/7. Documents managed by ALMA can be accessed in control rooms as well as in the offices. Contract includes full-service ALMA server and main user service. This means that the employees at Nivalan Kaukolämpö do not have to worry about updates, backups, contacts, data security etc. Server service means, ALMA’s database is located at the premises of ALMA Consulting Ltd at Kokkola which Nivalan Kaukolampo can reach by remote access. Due to advanced connections documents open easily.
