Over 10 year partnership between Sonoco-Alcore Oy, Karhula coreboard mill and Alma Marketing Oy continues. MaintALMA is widely utilized in the factory`s work planning, service logging and document maintenance.
”The latest ALMA update was done in spring 2009. Choosing the new ALMA was a natural continuation for the well functioning system”, says technical manager Mr. Mikko Grön. ”I think we have got the benefits we seek. The support and service has been good”, Grön thanks.
At Karhula mill, heavy coreboards are produced at two lines, one being the largest in the world. Light coreboards are produced at four lines. The modernized, 102 years old paper board machine represents proven machinery as well as the most modern automation technology at Sonoco. ALMA is used by the people in maintenance and production. ”When needed, we can integrate ALMA as a part of our project planning, at which time all the work can be centralized in one database and the documentation is always up to date and reliable. ALMA history data is also a useful source in the possible production malfunction situations”, explains Grön.
