Accurate and up-to-date diagrams are a critical requirement for all plant engineers. Documents such as function block, loop circuit, motor circuit, and installation type diagrams must be immediately available when needed.

ALMA® documentation management links diagrams and other documents to the hierarchy of the plant, departments, loops, and devices. It provides easy access to up-to-date documentation.

Whenever needed, ALMA® creates new diagrams at the point of request. A user defines model CAD diagrams, in which the symbols can be linked to the database fields. Combining database information with the model diagrams generates the finished diagrams. The diagrams can be edited later and kept up-to-date through CAD/database links.

One knowledge base

Detailed information on preferred suppliers and their equipment, instruction manuals, brochures, and diagrams are all accessible via ALMA®. The collation of various plant data into one knowledge base is an intrinsic part of ALMA®, providing benefits for designers and users alike.
